Michael Morse, author of the Paladin book Rescuing Providence, was recently named one of three recipients of the prestigious MacColl Johnson Fellowship from The Rhode Island Foundation. One of the largest no-strings-attached awards available to writers in the United States, the fellowship is awarded each year to Rhode Island composers, writers, and visual artists. Each recipient receives $25,000, which enables the artist to concentrate time on the creative process, focus on personal or professional development, expand his or her body of work, and explore new directions.
